The Whoberley Hostels where
alongside Lyndale Road and dissected by Overdale Road. The Webmaster has
memories of these hostels as he lived in the prefabs which were built
alongside side just after the war. The original boiler house for the
Primary school was the old hostel boiler house. Note the map below is
dated 1969 and clearly shows the hostel insitu? I believe this map date
to be incorrect, from memory they were pulled down during the 1952-6
period prior to my moving into a house in Coundon [aged 6-7] MAP
