Ashington Miners' Hostel

Included a canteen, buffet, laundry, showers and bathrooms, reading and writing rooms, plus about 12 Nissen huts with sleeping accommodation for up to 12 men.

This was part of the 'Bevin Boys' who keep the coal mines open and working during WW2
